The ideal after-dinner sipper on a cold winter’s night, this version uses rum instead of whiskey or vodka for a drink that will warm you inside and out.
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 cups freshly brewed hot coffee
- ¼ cup dark rum
- ½ cup coffee-flavored liqueur
- Whipped cream
- In a microwave-safe large bowl, microwave the cream 1 min., until hot. Into cream, stir the coffee, rum, and liqueur. Mix to combine. Microwave 30 sec., until hot.
- Ladle into mugs and top with whipped cream, if desired.
Want a toasty mug so the beverage stays warm longer? Fill each mug with hot water and let sit for 1 min. Pour water out and then fill with the hot toddy.
